General Terms and Conditions for Camping Services

The following terms and conditions apply between the camping guest and Campingpark Stromberg GmbH, hereinafter referred to as „campsite“.

By registering, the camper expressly and without reservation acknowledges the content of these terms and conditions. Deviating and/or supplementary agreements require express written confirmation from the campsite.

Conclusion of the camping contract / Booking

By submitting the written application, the camper makes a binding offer to the campsite to conclude a camping contract for the specified period and for the declared number of people.

The camping contract is only concluded upon written confirmation of the booking by the campsite. There is no entitlement to a specific pitch.

Telephone enquiries, supplementary agreements and other assurances of any kind shall only form part of the contract if they have been confirmed in writing by the campsite.

Booking / Prices

The price payable by the camper is determined by the campsite's current price list. It is the responsibility of the camper to inform themselves of the prices applicable during the booking period before registering.

Upon receipt of the booking confirmation, please check it for accuracy immediately.

The campsite reserves the right to alter the booking to an equivalent alternative if this is necessary for special reasons.

Bookings by unaccompanied minors under 18 years of age are only permitted with written consent from their parents. This must be presented upon arrival. Parents are fully liable for their children for the duration of the trip.

The booking of the camper is only binding upon receipt of the deposit.

Contract amendments

For changes, where possible, such as for the name or pitch, an amendment fee of 10.00 Euros charged.

For changes to the timeframe, the cancellation terms and conditions under clause 5 shall apply accordingly.

Deposit / Payment

Following a booking via the online booking system, a deposit of 20 percent of the total price required. A deposit of 100 percent can also be made upon request. This automatically creates a contract with the campsite.

For bookings not made through the online booking system, a deposit of 20 percent of the total price is to be paid after the invoice has been issued by a reception employee.

This deposit must be paid within five days of receipt of the reservation.

The remaining balance is payable on-site in cash, by debit card or credit card.

If the guest lets the deposit deadline lapse, the reservation will be cancelled without separate notification, and no valid contract will be concluded.

For spontaneous arrivals or bookings, the full accommodation price is payable immediately.

Cancellation by the camping guest

The camping guest can withdraw from the camping contract in writing after receipt of the deposit. The time of receipt of the written declaration of withdrawal by the campsite is decisive for the time of withdrawal.

  • Cancellation up to 15 days before the start of your stay: 20 % of the total price confirmed at booking.
  • Cancellation from 14 days before the start of your stay: 100 % of the total price confirmed at booking.
We recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance.

No refund of the remaining costs will be made in the event of early departure.

No-Show / Late Arrival

If arriving after 9:00 p.m., guests must notify the Campsite by email at info@strombergcamping.de notwendig.

Otherwise, the camping pitch may be allocated to another guest from 1:00 p.m. on the following day, or the rental accommodation from 3:00 p.m. on the following day.

Rental accommodation that remains unoccupied due to a no-show may be reallocated by the Campsite management without any credit or compensation being provided to the original guest.

Payments already made will not be refunded unless the guest can demonstrate that the Campsite incurred a lower loss.

Arrival and Departure

The arrival and departure dates stated in the booking confirmation are binding.

  • Camping pitches are available from 12:00 noon on the day of arrival. 12:00 Uhr zur Verfügung.
  • Rental accommodation must be vacated by 11:00 a.m. on the day of departure. 15:00 Uhr zur Verfügung.
  • Rental accommodation is available from 3:00 p.m. on the day of arrival. 11:00 Uhr zu verlassen.

Subject to availability, early arrival at a camping pitch before 12:00 noon or late departure after 12:00 noon is possible for a fee of €9.50. 9,50 Euro möglich.

In the event of departure after 6:00 p.m., the full overnight rate will additionally be charged until departure.

Early arrival or late departure is not available for rental accommodation.

Seating arrangement

The camping guest is obliged to comply with the provisions and regulations of the Campsite Rules. In particular, the times specified therein must be strictly observed.

The Campsite is entitled to terminate the camping contract with immediate effect if the camping guest endangers others through their behaviour, causes persistent disturbance or otherwise acts in such serious breach of contract that immediate termination is justified.

In such a case, the Campsite retains its entitlement to the agreed total price. Payments already made will not be refunded unless the guest can demonstrate that the actual loss incurred was lower.

Charging electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles at the Campsite’s electricity connection points is strictly prohibited. Any violation will result in a penalty charge of at least €100.00. Repeated violations will additionally result in expulsion from the Campsite.
Water at the pitch may only be used in normal household quantities. Filling swimming pools or paddling pools and washing vehicles will result in a penalty charge of at least €30.00. Repeated violations will additionally result in expulsion from the Campsite.

Visitors

The camping guest is required to register any overnight visitors at reception. The applicable charges are set out in the current price list.

Visitors’ vehicles must be parked outside the Campsite grounds.

Defects / Complaints

Any complaints regarding the camping pitch or rental accommodation must be reported to the Campsite immediately.

Claims relating to defects are excluded if the defect was not reported directly during the stay.

The Campsite must be given a reasonable period of time to remedy the defect.

Opening Hours / Frost

During the low season, restricted opening hours apply to reception, the campsite shop, sanitary facilities, restaurant and entertainment programme.

At certain times, not all areas or sections of the Campsite may be open.

Fresh water connections at the camping pitches are only available when, in the Campsite’s assessment, frost is no longer expected.

Media Data / Data Protection

Critical areas of the Campsite are monitored by video cameras. This serves to ensure the safety of camping guests, protect property and possessions, monitor access authorisations and exercise the Campsite’s rights as property owner/operator.

Recordings are only reviewed when necessary, and only the data required for clarification of the relevant incident will be retained. Data will not be disclosed to third parties.

Photographs and video recordings are taken on the Campsite at regular intervals. If a camping guest does not wish to be photographed or filmed, they must inform the photographer or camera team immediately.

The Campsite collects, processes and uses guest data for the purpose of processing bookings and for its own marketing purposes within the framework of applicable legal provisions.

Dogs / Pets

Dogs are not permitted on playgrounds, at the bathing lake, in sanitary facilities, in rental accommodation or during children’s activities.

In the event of problematic behaviour by a dog or complaints from other guests, the Campsite may require the dog to be removed from the premises.

Dogs must be kept on a lead throughout the entire Campsite, including camping pitches and rental accommodation areas.

Liability

The Campsite shall only be liable in cases of intent or gross negligence on the part of its legal representatives or agents in accordance with statutory provisions.

Otherwise, the Campsite shall only be liable in cases involving injury to life, body or health.

This applies to all claims for damages, irrespective of their legal basis.

The Campsite shall only be liable for falling branches or similar incidents within the scope of its existing liability insurance. No claim may be made for damage caused by force majeure.

Exclusion of Liability for Manoeuvring and Recovery Assistance

If employees of Stromberg Camping, at the guest’s request, assist with manoeuvring vehicles, motorhomes or caravans, or with recovering vehicles that have become stuck, such assistance is provided voluntarily, without obligation and without assumption of liability.

To the extent permitted by law, liability on the part of employees and the Campsite operator for damage to vehicles, caravans, vehicle bodies, towing equipment, underbodies or other property is excluded.

Responsibility for manoeuvring, recovery, safe operation and the technical condition of the vehicle remains with the guest at all times.

Errors

The Campsite reserves the right to correct errors as well as printing and calculation errors.

Set-Off

The camping guest may only set off claims that are undisputed or have been finally determined by a court of law.

Place of Jurisdiction

The camping guest may bring legal action against the Campsite only at the Campsite’s registered office. For legal action brought by the Campsite, the camping guest’s place of residence shall be decisive.

Notwithstanding the above, the registered office of the Campsite shall be the relevant place of jurisdiction if legal action is brought against registered merchants or persons who have no general place of jurisdiction in Germany, or if the camping guest has moved their place of residence abroad after conclusion of the contract or if their place of residence or whereabouts are unknown at the time legal proceedings are initiated.
